I was approached by a small indie games company just starting out to create a logo for their group. They were not sure which direction they wanted to take it in so I helped them narrow it down to two possibilities: A rougher, more sort of grungy look in the same vein as Blizzard Entertainment or Vigil games, or a cleaner and more trendy version, a la Bethesda or Valve. They decided to go with the second version of the design.
