Evolution of a Murder Weapon

One of the more anticipated prop designs of the project. The infamous murder weapon used in the crime introduced in the level. I had the task of thinking of something unique that still fit into the retro/future art direction the team wanted. I ended up suggesting a ceramic knife. They tend to look sleek and in line with our other futuristic designs, and are also extremely sharp and intimidating. The team loved the idea and asked me to proceed with making it look worthy of an unhinged killer. The end design ended up with a word pain-painstakingly carved into each side of the blade as a way to deliver a clear message to the victims. The team was very happy with it and so was I.
